![]() ![]() So please apple, get mail.app, calendar app etc. We are allowed to use a Mac at work, but we cannot circumvent office 365 mail. But sometimes a little bit more is needed, especially when decent people are forced to work with crazy things like exchange/office 365 mail. Apple's less=more approach gives us the most wonderful solutions to get our work done, that is why we use OSX and not Windows. ![]() I have seen this too may times, Microsoft having sneaky ways to somehow force decent people to use their idiosyncratic software. Again the workaround is start using outlook for OSX or iOS (IMAP stops working on iOS too). Related issue is that through this move of our security managers (that is forcing office 365 mail servers to exclusively use OATH 2.0 for authentication) I cannot setup an IMAP account for a functional (=shared) mail account that is part of the exchange office 365 mail server. So please Apple, could you put some engineers on making high Sierra work with OAUTH 2.0? I can switch to the outlook app, but who wants to get strangled in the office suite when you could use the most elegant collaborative apple apps dealing with mail, calendar contact, notes etc. ![]() Unfortunately mail.app 11.5 (part of high Sierra) does not support OAUTH 2.0 so I can't use my work mail, contact info calendar etc. The office 365 exchange mail server can be set by security managers to require authorisation through OAUTH 2.0 tickets. ![]()
